New Delhi: Tata group-owned watch retailer, Titan Company has appointed Dr. Ravi Kuppuraj as its chief operating officer (COO) and business head for the Titan smart wearables business, the company announced in a press release on Thursday.
In his new role, Kuppuraj will lead the business towards new areas of growth and innovation adding more value to Titan’s growth in the smartwatch segment, the company said.
Before joining Titan Company, he held executive roles in companies including Spacelabs, Draeger, Philips, and Best Buy Health. He has also founded and launched start-ups in the cloud-based, universal remote patient monitoring, and wearables spaces.

Kuppuraj’s appointment comes as Titan Company has planned a strategic shift towards becoming a fashion-tech brand. In the next few months, the brand plans to bring industry-first and category-first products such as rugged and fashion smartwatches, and smart products catering to modern, tech-savvy, fashion and fitness audiences.
