New Delhi: Global watchmaker Timex Group has acquired a Mumbai-headquartered premium watch retail brand Just Watches to expand its consumer reach in India, the company said in a media release on Thursday.
With this acquisition, the global firm looks to take over e-commerce portal and all the physical stores of the brand.
“Through this business move, at Timex, we are geared up to increase our consumer base countrywide. At Timex, we are focused on becoming a household name that is loved by generations across – from the millennials to the Gen Zs,” said Deepak Chhabra, managing director at Timex India.
Currently, Timex India operates over 35 exclusive franchised stores under the brand name Timex World. It also has presence in more than 5000 offline trade stores and key online portals in the country.
Timex Group also has a very strong licensed brand portfolio that caters to a very wide array of consumer needs like Guess, GC, Versace, Nautica, Adidas Originals, Furla, Ted Baker and more.
