New Delhi: Omnichannel enablement platform, Ace Turtle has launched a flagship store of the American denim brand Lee in Bengaluru.

Spread across an area of 4,200 square feet, this is Lee’s largest store in the country. Equipped with state-of-the-art technology, the store features electronic shelf talkers, smart mirror for personalised recommendations, and customization sections.

Ace Turtle became the official licensee for Lee in India in 2021 after entering into a definitive agreement with global lifestyle apparel company, Kontoor Brands.

Commenting on the launch, Nitin Chhabra, CEO, Ace Turtle said, “Since entering into a partnership with Kontoor Brands, Ace Turtle has been able to leverage its extensive suite of technology-powered retail solutions to grow the international apparel brand‘s market in India.”

He added that the opening of the flagship store is an indicator of the company’s confidence in the Indian market. Ace Turtle aims to enhance Lee’s popularity by expanding the brand in tier 2 cities, and beyond.

The omnichannel enablement platform already runs about 40 exclusive brand outlets of Lee in the country. Commenting on expansion plans, Chhabra said that the retailer aims to double the count by opening 40 new stores this year.

Declining to share revenue numbers, he said that Lee in India is recording 100 per cent year-on-year growth on the back of Ace Turtle’s vertical commerce model, where the company is leveraging data in design and manufacturing, therefore interlinking the entire supply chain and the front-end consumer behaviour.

The denim market in India is growing at a CAGR of 8 to 9 per cent. As per industry estimates, the market value is projected to rise to more than Rs 90,000 crore by 2028.
